YA Indie Carnival Anniversay Giveaway

The sponsors of the YA Indie Carnival are getting back to our roots and bragging about a few of the phenomenal Indie Authors who not only exist among us but thrive in a world where Indie Authors are not always set up for success.  In celebration of our 2nd Annual YA Indie Carnival GIVEAWAY, each sponsor will be showcasing or hosting an Indie Author.  See details at the bottom or click on the links in red and above to see the details associated with the giveaway...including directions for entering.

For me, the task of isolating my pick down to one author - after working, collaborating, and bonding with so many - is next to impossible.  There are just too many great people and fellow authors who support me every single day.  In fact, there are several who supported me from the beginning and will never be forgotten because of the way they took me in and mentored me.  The author I'm showcasing this week is one of those people, Tamara Rose Blodgett.

It's equally important to mention that The Indie Authors being highlighted this week are perfect examples of men/women who have taken their writing destinies into their own hands and found a way to write a great story (usually more than one) while managing all of the important aspect that are usually left to the publishing companies when books are traditionally published.  For example, Indie Authors are personally responsible for having the book cover designed and the book edited, formatted, and marketed.  Believe me, these are not easy or simple tasks, and it can be extremely difficult to find people to partner with...ones who are as committed to your work as you.

About the author:To all my readers: thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to read my stories! None of this would be possible without your support! =)Tamara Rose Blodgett is a "thinking-out-of-the box" paranormal enthusiast who lives in Alaska and has worked as a journalist. She is a passionate reader and aside from her writing, considers it her #1 hobby.

Tamara began writing the Death Series two years ago with book 4, DEATH SCREAMS, released in May 2012. The Savage Series was started in December of 2010 and book 3, THE SAVAGE VENGEANCE, released on Mar. 31, 2012. Tamara's sixth book and first in the Blood Series, BLOOD SINGERS, released on March 9, 2012. Tamara is taking a brief hiatus to work on other projects before beginning BLOOD SONG around July 1.

In her spare time Tamara's a reluctant serial-re-modeler, project slave and big time, in-her-pants reader (surprise!). She does a great deal of daydreaming about impossible scenarios and events; writing books to capture them in stories for you~ Side note: Gnomes should be exterminated.

Blood Singers (Blood #1) by

A sub-species of human beings...

Twenty-year old Julia Wade, a young woman tragically widowed, is in the middle of a bizarre bid between two mythical species who are vying for the unique properties she offers; her blood. The vampires need her to balance the food load of the human species and give them their coveted “Lightwalkers.” The Were wish to be moonless changers; a Rare One can make that a reality.

Julia wants to belong to herself.

Can she free herself and begin a new life?

Blood Song (Blood #2) by

Julia has been ripped from the escape she'd planned for herself. When she awakens to discover that her reality has shifted to include a supposed soul-meld with a man she hates... and who hates her, she rebels. Julia doesn't want to be Queen of the Blood Singers if it means captivity in a gilded cage.

Broken from the horrific events surrounding her friends, Cynthia migrates to the very city that Julia resides in and determines to find her as the police follow the bread crumbs she left in her wake. Detective Truman's discovery at her apartment exposed her departure for the escape it was.

The Feral has come full circle and must begin a new life from the shadow of the old. His placement in the hierarchy of the pack is uncertain when he finds that he has an integral enemy already in place and a pack member to protect. While he desperately seeks answers to what had been... what could be.

Can the vestiges of Julia's former life be restored so she might reunite with her one true love
or has that door closed forever because of supernatural circumstances beyond their control?
